WebApp Tool Suite

The SpiderRock Connect WebApp Tool Suite is a collection of trading applications that run either in a web browser or as standalone desktop applications. These applications can communicate with servers in SpiderRock’s data centers using HTTP/REST or HTTP/WebSocket connections. They typically connect, on a round-robin basis, to the next available server within designated server pools. Connections may be made over standard internet routes from nearly any global location, as well as through private networks or VPNs. In all cases, communication occurs over fully public/private key encrypted HTTPS-style connections.

Access to the Tool Suite requires a username and MFA authentication via a mobile app or SMS text message. Usernames and access credentials are issued by SpiderRock staff upon request from an authorized representative of your firm.

Each SpiderRock user account defines the specific permissions granted to that user. This includes market data entitlements, the live data objects they can interact with, the trading accounts they are permitted to view, and the types of order-management actions they are allowed to perform. These permissions can be modified at any time by authorized SpiderRock personnel, Client Firm administrators, or Sponsor Parent administrators.

The Tool Suite applications can connect to multiple environments:

  • Production (Saturn): Live data and trading across all markets.
  • Staging (Venus): Pre-release environment with live data for a limited set of symbols.
  • Sandbox environments: Development and testing environments with simulated data and trading for a limited number of symbols.

Access to the production and staging environments requires valid market-data credentials, while sandbox environments are available to all users.
