EXS Concierge Desk

The EXS Concierge Desk is part of SpiderRock EXS and operates as an agency broker dealer offering clients access to the SpiderRock ATS, in addition to traditional high-touch (inter dealer) brokerage services.

The EXS Concierge Desk is staffed with FINRA-licensed brokers capable of executing orders on behalf of its clients on an agency basis. Regular methods of communication with the desk include phone and chat services such as Bloomberg IB or ICE Chat.

Concierge Desk vs. Client Support Desk

SpiderRock Connect offers a suite of tools for clients to interact directly within the SpiderRock ecosystem of auctions and liquidity, supported by a separate Client Support Desk to facilitate interactions and troubleshoot issues with these tools and transactions. Clients who need support on the trading application should contact the EXS Customer Support Desk at desk@spiderrock.net. The EXS Concierge Desk provides brokerage support to clients in facilitating transactions via chat devices or the SpiderRock Connect Trade app.

Order and Auction Services

Order Initiation

New initiating orders can be communicated to the EXS Concierge Desk via approved communication channels including phone, Bloomberg / Bloomberg IB, ICE Chat, Slack and Cloud9. Order instructions can also be transmitted via FIX message, MLink, or staged to the EXS Concierge Desk from the SpiderRock Connect Trade app.

Orders received by the EXS Concierge Desk may be introduced into SpiderRock Connect, which provides the following services:

  • ATS Flash Auction
  • ATS Block Auction
  • SpiderRock Execution Algorithms:
    • Active Maker
    • Active Taker
    • Spider Sweep
    • Spider Progression

The EXS Concierge Desk serves as the primary point of contact for all information relating to orders facilitated through the desk and will provide assistance as needed throughout the order lifecycle.

Auction Responses

The EXS Concierge Desk facilitates interactions between its clients and SpiderRock ATS auctions by hosting communication channels for automated auction messages via chat services such as ICE Chat. Automated messages will be delivered to these channels and responses will be ingested back into the auctions by an electronic participant in these chats. EXS Concierge Desk employees are present in all electronic communication channels enabled for distribution of automated auction messages. These employees are capable of responding to inquiries relating to ATS Auction messages in these channels.

    Note: The EXS Concierge Desk facilitates access to SpiderRock Connect services. However, it is operationally independent from SpiderRock Connect and cannot interfere with, or access the confidential information of, the electronic operation of SpiderRock Connect, including its ATS auctions. Any assistance offered in connection with SpiderRock ATS auction transactions is on a best-effort basis and it should not be assumed that interactions with SpiderRock ATS auctions occurred unless confirmed directly by communication from SpiderRock Connect.

Additional Services

In addition to handling orders for its clients, the EXS Concierge Desk can provide additional services to assist with interacting with SpiderRock Connect liquidity through the EXS Concierge Desk's channels. This includes services such as managing filters and interest lists.
